Cut the dowel into 12 inch lengths. Put a hole in the dowel one inch from the top, using a thumb tack. It’s easier to do this if you have a little hammer (especially if you are making lots) as it can be a wee bit hard on your fingers.
Put a tiny dab of super glue on the hole in the dowel and push the pinwheel into it. Hold it for a moment while the glue sets, so you don’t accidentally glue to paper to the stick and you’re done!
All materials for these pinwheels came from Spotlight in Cairns. If you want to make lots of pinwheels for your wedding, you can buy the scrapbooking paper in a pack which is more cost-effective.
We think these would work wonderfully at an outdoors or vintage-themed wedding!
