Cairns brides are lucky enough to see several wedding expos each year but what sets the Save the Date Wedding Expo apart is its friendly vibe and buzzing atmosphere.

 

Save the Date raises funds for a good cause and this year, over $10,000 was raised for photographic curtains in the Liz Plummer Cancer Care Centre in Cairns. Combined with organiser and celebrant Joanne Male's vivacious personality it's no wonder this is such a feel-good event. 

 

Entertainment included fashion parades from Romeo & Juliet Bridal, Roger David and Irene Costa's Devine Bridal, salsa dancing and vocalist Talicia Minniecon. The male models from the Oncology Unit in Cairns got in on the act and donated their time (and good looks) for the event.

 

124 brides registered and over 750 people attended the expo, several scoring brilliant prizes, including a $1,000 dress voucher from Irene Costa's Devine Bridal, $500 voucher from By Design Wedding & Events, photo booth & celebrant vouchers and prize packages.

 

The 90+ exhibitors at this year's expo were all working hard to help local brides find the perfect dress or venue and finalise those small details (including the all-important male stripper for the hens' night!).
