With Something Special Photography
Have you thought about your engagement photo shoot yet? Many brides and grooms-to-be are getting professional photos before the wedding and I love that you can choose from such a variety of styles to suit your relationship personality, whether playful, quirky or a little bit sexy!
Something Special Photography offers a full range of photographic services and recently, my fiancé and I were lucky enough to be invited to do a sexy couple & boudoir photo shoot with Rowena. I’m very happy to share the experience with you, the Killer Brides of North Queensland!
So, I have been asked; ‘how do you get your man to agree to this kind of thing?’ My fiancé was a little hesitant at first, but only because he didn’t know what to expect. What I suggest if your partner is a little bit shy, is that you fully explain to them what is going to happen, including that Rowena is impeccably professional about what she does. The more you can explain beforehand, the less out of their comfort zone they will be. As it turns out, Jake was really great in front of the camera and he helped me to relax by making me laugh!
Our shoot was in a stunning room at the Cairns Hilton, overlooking the inlet. Rowena had some great music going to create a fun atmosphere and we chatted about what kind of shots we were looking to create during the shoot. Rowena has a bubbly personality that makes you feel very comfortable. I can best explain the vibe in the room by saying it felt kind of like were getting ready for a night out, just chilling in a plush hotel room with some good beats!
We played dress ups with a few different outfits, settings and poses, wearing jeans and a white singlet/t-shirt and some shots in jeans only. I also got to wear my favourite top. You don’t need to worry that you won’t know what to do because Rowena tells you how to stand, where to put your hands and where to look. The hardest part for me was keeping a straight face!
We also took some boudoir shots and yes, it’s a little strange wearing skimpy underwear in front of someone you just met, but the photos are really worth it! And for those of us who are not professional underwear models, Rowena tells you how to pose to make you look hot!
